WTF PRE-MARKET REPORT Thursday, SEPTEMBER 11th 2025
We pause first: Never Forget. Always Remember. The markets open every September 11th with both reflection and resolve.
Now to the tape — yesterday Oracle detonated like a rocket, ripping +35% in its best single day since 1992, powered by a 1,529% surge in multicloud database revenue. That moonshot lit a fire under the entire AI complex. Analysts scrambled to slap upgrades across AI-linked names, and the momentum is still running in premarket trading. In short: Oracle didn’t just move — it shifted the narrative.
Layer that on top of this morning’s mixed CPI report — hotter monthly, but in-line yearly — and the Fed still has breathing room to cut next week. The result? Futures are green. The market is saying, “AI is still the trade, and the Fed is still the wind at our back.”
Premarket Movers – Post-Labor Day Shakeout
Opendoor (OPEN) — +33.6% after naming Shopify exec Kaz Nejatian as CEO. Meme fuel + fresh leadership = fire.
Klarna (KLAR) — –1% post-IPO cool-off after raising $1.37B in debut.
Alibaba (BABA) — +2.6% on $3.2B zero coupon convertible notes to fund cloud expansion.
Oracle (ORCL) — +2% follow-through after its +36% AI moonshot yesterday; market cap now $922B.
Kroger (KR) — +1.8% on EPS beat despite revenue miss.
Celsius (CELH) — +3% on Goldman Sachs Buy initiation.
Chewy (CHWY) — +1.2% bounce after –16% plunge, backed by Deutsche Bank upgrade.
