WTF PRE-MARKET REPORT Thursday, SEPTEMBER 18th 2025
The Fed finally pulled the trigger: a .25% rate cut, and the dot plot hints more easing is on deck. Markets did what markets do—cheered it with a rally. Futures are green across the board, powered by GDP revisions showing strength and job data that keeps the consumer story alive. Meanwhile, Trump is across the pond closing $10B+ UK tech deals—tariffs, AI, and transatlantic trade are fueling the macro fire.
But the headline shocker? Nvidia dropping $5 billion into Intel. Yes, you read that right—Team AI investing in a rival chipmaker to co-develop data center and PC products. Intel is up a face-melting 30% premarket, dragging the entire semiconductor sector into hyperdrive. Nvidia itself is bouncing back +3% after a bruising day yesterday.
