AUGUST OPENS — WHO’S UPGRADING THEIR LIFE?
Welcome to the first Monday of August. Back-to-school ads are dropping, and here’s the real question:
Will you keep learning how to escape the 9–5? Or will you keep grading your life on a curve of mediocrity?
The market’s giving us a clean retracement setup this week. After Friday’s jobs data fade, futures are climbing as traders digest weak labor with a bullish twist — the Fed’s hand is being forced.
The 10-year yield is down to 4.2%, oil is slipping, and earnings season still has some solo dancers before the band wraps up. We're seeing Wayfair pop on a beat, Lyft expanding with Baidu overseas, and Elon Musk unlocking another infinity stone in his performance package.
Tariff noise is cooling off (for now), setting up the Super Six rotation (SMH, XLK, XLY, IWM, XLF, XLI) for a potential August lift. But don’t be fooled — last week’s bearish engulfing candle still looms on the weekly chart like a shark fin behind a lazy beach wave.
This is your reminder: ​Consolidation isn’t confusion. It’s preparation.​ For the smart money, this is when retracements become rebounds.

WEAKNESSES:​ Last week’s bearish engulfing candle wasn’t just for show — it signals hesitation. Low volume August conditions may lead to whipsaws and false breakouts. Tariff tensions are easing but not resolved.
OPPORTUNITIES:​ The Super Six ETF setup is forming a base for a potential August run. Wayfair’s earnings beat could kickstart retail sympathy plays. International expansion headlines (Lyft + Baidu) may reheat global growth narratives.
